THIS BETTER F@#%ING WORK

I got "really thirsty" yesterday and drank a gallon of water after lunch. I did it again today and will probably get thirsty again tomorrow. I'll bet getting thirsty will stretch my stomach a bit and help me eat more on Saturday. At least that's what I've heard. I'm sitting here at my desk trying not to focus on the fact that I feel like I swallowed a beach ball. I really don't like getting thirsty.

(UPDATE: I actually drank two liters of water, not one gallon. I thought two liters equaled roughly one gallon, but it actually takes 3.8 liters to make a gallon. Stupid metric system.)

The benefits of water are huge. First of all it cleans you out which will enable you to take a good dump . People with constipation problems will be cured if they practice this routine on a daily or weekly basis. It will also help you to become a much better competitive eater as long as you stick to it . Drinking massive amts of water just once in while wont do much in boosting your eating totals

I wouldn't do it daily if I was you. It cleans the colon too much, getting rid of bacteria thats needed for digestion.

I am not too sure water makes it down to the colon, it is filtered out at the kidneys. One thing you do have to watch out for is hyponatremia, where you offset your chemical balance by introducing too much plain water. Your brain could swell and can kill you. As long as you are getting your nutrients and aren't over exerting yourself you should be alright.

I've heard water leaves the stomach too fast to really help, though someone could have just been toeing the party line. There's always the Koby method: eat an entire restaurant then go body build. That seems pretty effective.

oh, 2 liters? you're safe. But that was all it took to kill that girl on the radio show. Here about that? she went home and died later that day from cerebral swelling. I drank more beer than that before, what does that tell you about water? Beer stretching is where it is at.

When you're near the gallon mark it has nowhere else to go but the colon, because it doesn't asorb fast enough. As long as you finish within 5 min. Most of it should be there from what I've researched.

Yeah, I don't know how much water helps. Physically at least. There's probably a psychological edge though.

To Dr. Assinine's point, I agree that I should be water training more often. Three days in a row isn't likely to do much. That's one of my biggest questions: How often to the top eaters do stretching excercises? All the time or just in the two weeks prior to a contest? (Which for the busy ones means they stretch all the time.)

And another thing...if their stomachs are so big from all that stretching, do they still get "full" when they eat a normal meal?

WHATEVER YOU GET DOWN IN UNDER SAY 4MINS WILL AID IN STRETCHING THE STOMACH. YOUR STOMACH CONTRACTS EVERY 3 MINS OR SO. DRINKING FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME JUST KEEPS THE FEELING OF PRESSURE THERE. OTHER THAN THAT IT GOES STRAIGHT TO THE UPPER GI THEN IS PROCESSED BY YOUR BODY. I HAVE NEVER NOTICED A DIFFERENCE IN MY "COLON BEHAVIOR" AFTER I HAVE WATER TRAINED.

my question is, if after four minutes you eat enough to stretch your stomach, can you keep eating and stretch it even more?
