THE DAY THE CHEWING DIED

Has anyone noticed that in four days, after this Saturday's Wienerschnitzel World Chili Cheese Fries Eating Championship, there will be no future events on the IFOCE calendar? That makes me sad. It's okay though. They say the hungriest hour is just before dawn (which is when the buffett opens).

let's not let the IFOCE run our life, Dave. There are competitions everywhere you look. You just have to open your mouth!
BTW, what qualifications must be met in order to be a member of the UEP?

The loss of Golden Palace as a sponsor really took away a lot of competitions! Last year at this time grilled cheese had happened, chocolate hearts were waiting, and corned beef and cabbage was lined up. Sad to lose all those!

The only requirements to be a member of the UEPa are...actually there aren't any requirements. I guess you need to be from Pennsylvania and have a healthy appetite.

Derek "Wing Tut" Payne is the founding father of the UEPa and the Invader is an honorary member, so I guess that means you just need to like to eat. Consider yourself a member! Meetings are held each year at Dennys. We're still working on the t-shirts.

In about 2 days the list will probably fill up. Why can't it be like a real sport where you know the whole season?

Upon further review, the qualifications for membership in the UEPa will be further reviewed at the "meeting of eaters" @ Denny's Beer Barrel Pub on February 24.

Good idea. I was talking with the Invader about that yesterday and we agree that it should be "on the agenda" at our upcoming meeting.
