Not sure when this opened up, but the IFOCE just listed a pig's feet eating contest on June 23. Get 'em while they're...hot? Truth be told, in the realm of barnyard animal feet, pigs have to be among the easiest to eat. Chickens. Now those are some tough feet to eat. And cats. Unfortunately this is the same day as the shoofly pie contest, otherwise I would be ALL OVER this one. You know I would. I can eat the hell out some pigs feet. Picked pigs feet, pigs feet pie, pigs feet gumbo, pigs feet pizza, pigs feet pancakes, pigs feet ala mode...

pigs feet salad, pigs feet kabobs..... wow, what a strange food item. Derek, this is what you would call a technical food! Has anyone actually ever eaten pigs feet before? I am curious now.

The only experience I have with pigs' feet is that we got a friend to buys some once on a dare. We were in high school, traveling home from a school trip in a van. He ate some pigs' feet and then totally puked some pigs' feet. Maybe it was the long van ride and a shaky stomach, but maybe it was the jarred pickled FEET.

I think Steakbellie is trying to convince me not to enter shoofly because he knows my presence at that table is the only thing standing in the way of him and shoofly victory.
